Trending today is the Declaration to run for the Kwame Nkrumah Hall (KNH) Treasurer position by one gentleman Henry Amedume. Henry and his team took to social media to declare his intentions for the said portfolio. Henry is a level 300 Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting Student and a proud member of Kwame Nkrumah Hall – the youngest traditional hall on campus. In a chat with Legacybase Online Magazine he said,

I want the message to be heard at large because, I have a clear, logical mind with a practical approach to problem solving and a drive to see things through to completion. I have a great eye for detail. I am eager to learn, I enjoy overcoming challenges, and I have a genuine interest in service. Service I believe is a calling, and when one feels that urge of the call, needs to respond and give it his or her outermost best, so I’m genuinely after the interest of students and to bring to board important ideas and policies to enable students of UCC most especially Kwame Nkrumah affiliates to experience the impart of true student leadership.

LOM: My brother, you contested last year, do you think you can do what Napoleon couldn’t do this year ?

Henry: Thank you for this opportunity, i think i need to clear the air on this, Yes I contested last year, but its an election and definitely only one winner emerges. I must say i had little challenges with my vetting last year as well, but having visited the drawing board i have been able to outline the nitty gritties and what went wrong. Honestly this has rejuvenated me up for this task ahead. In plain words i would say ” I AM FIT TO CONTEST AGAIN ”

LOM: Wow, i can feel the energy right here. Thank you for your time and wish you the best of luck.

Henry: Thank you too. I would like to end with a quote from – Warren Bennis. “Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality”
