UCC Local NUGS to organize “START RIGHT” conference for Freshers


Are you a UCC fresher? Would you like to make the best out of the University? If yes, then save the date because, University of Cape Coast Local NUGS in collaboration with Standard PR presents STANDARD TALK, on the  Theme : Start Right – ” What I wish I knew before matriculation.”

Standard Talk is an educative programme that will be held on the 22nd of September, 2017 at the UCC Main Auditorium at 3:30pm prompt. This program is designed to provide mentorship and practical guidance to University of Cape Coast Freshers on how to excel not just in academics, but holistically.

Speakers include :

Eric Abonaah Mensah – UCC Overall Best Graduating Student 2016. 

Dennis Appiah Larbi-Ampofoh – Former UCC SRC President and Former Oguaa Hall President. 

Adwoa Boatemaa Bonsu – CEO – Coast and Scrubs.

Derrick Owusu Afrifa (Rapdizzle) – Tertiary Student Artiste of the year -2016.

In an interview with Legacybase’s Michael Baffu Amuah,  Theophilus Saki Sosi – CEO of Standard PR said

As a Broadcaster I understand the importance of reputation and image management of brands specifically in the digital age when false and malicious articles about brands go viral in seconds. I believe public relations is an essential factor in the brand growth of every organisation. Using myself as an example l am confident to say I am committed and consistent in my entrepreneurial vision.

NUGS Stands for National Union of Ghana students.
The one at the campus level is called the LOCAL NUGS..
The local NUGS is made up of the following;

The convener for the programme, Mr Sosi is currently a broadcaster at ATL FM. He won the Vice Chancellor’s Prestigious award in 2017 for his awesome work in Student Broadcasting as well as excellent work done as Public Relations Officer of the Students Representative council in 2016.
